Job summary

Dow Emulsions/Polymers facility in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer to drive EH&S excellence, reliability, and cost efficiency across the plant. You will work across Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S to optimize performance, resolve complex challenges, and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production of quality products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering by January 2027 (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• Experience in chemical production facilities is preferred.
• Experience in coatings is preferred.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations to optimize plant performance.
• Reference historical data and SMEs to apply MET effectively.
• Ensure MET understanding and use of process automation to improve operations.
• Lead troubleshooting and document operating discipline.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses and address them.
• Maintain daily KPI/trends and respond to plant issues and emergencies.
