Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Plant Operator to manage safe and efficient daily operations of an HMA batch or drum plant. You will interact with customers, foremen, and drivers while performing preventative maintenance and operating mobile equipment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3–6 months related experience, and proficiency with Windows-based programs. Candidates must be able to work nights, weekends, and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Must be competent with computers and Windows-based programs.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers and customers.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Experience with maintenance and basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Manager with daily operations and upkeep of the facility.
• Inspect and maintain plant parts including baghouse, dryer, and burner components.
• Operate front end loaders and other mobile equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs, welding, fabrication, and basic electrical tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
