Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH Company, is seeking a hands-on plant operator to support daily production. You will operate heavy equipment, access all plant areas for maintenance, and perform welding or fabrication tasks to keep the operation running smoothly.

Candidates should be able to read safety rules and maintenance manuals, work nights or weekends when needed, and maintain a strong safety mindset while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment accurately, efficiently, and safely according to job site requirements.
• Access all areas of the plant to perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
• Perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Clean up around plant and surrounding area.
• Lubricate and perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Follow directions precisely.
