Job summary
Dow’s Emulsions/Polymers production facility in Knoxville, TN has an opening for an Operations Performance Engineer. You will drive EH&S excellence, improve reliability, efficiency, and reduce costs across the plant, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S to deliver safe, productive operations.
As a key team member at a smaller site, you will gain exposure across technical and operational areas, developing leadership capabilities while optimizing performance and ensuring compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering by January 2027; Chemical or Mechanical preferred.
- Experience in chemical production facilities preferred.
- U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities
- Work with operations team to apply problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
- Apply MET knowledge and use process automation to optimize plant performance.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and document operating discipline.
- Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses and improve efficiency.
- Maintain daily KPI reviews and monitor trends for optimal performance.
- Respond to plant issues and emergencies; act as unit technical expert during unplanned events.
