Job summary

Dow’s Emulsions/Polymers plant in Knoxville, TN seeks an Operations Performance Engineer to optimize plant value through EH&S excellence, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S to drive safe, reliable production of quality products while advancing technical and leadership capabilities.

You will work across multiple technical areas, reviewing logs, alarms, and METs daily to ensure peak performance and strong field presence on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering by Jan 2027; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• Experience in chemical production facilities preferred.
• Experience in coatings preferred.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations to apply problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Ensure MET understanding and use of process automation to optimize performance.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility.
• Maintain daily KPI trends and respond to plant issues and emergencies.
• Lead during unplanned events and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support raw material efficiency and overall plant integration.
