Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a Columbus, OH manufacturing facility. You will oversee safety, quality, production, and maintenance while driving Lean initiatives and continuous improvement to meet customer expectations and financial goals.

The role requires extensive operations leadership, 7–10 years in similar roles, and a background in high-speed manufacturing with ISO standards. Strong team development and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Management.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or process improvement roles with teams.
• Lean environment experience required.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, plastic injection molding and metal processing preferred.
• Experience in a commercial role with direct customer contact.
• 5+ years in process development and business process design.
• Experience with ISO or equivalent quality standards.
• Experience implementing or managing Toyota Production System.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility delivers highest quality products at lowest cost within budgeted costs.
• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Manage facility P&L and review KPIs regularly (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
• Lead strategic planning including cost reduction, capital planning and resource allocation.
• Oversee safety, quality, scheduling, production, shipping and maintenance.
• Maintain safe, clean, efficient operations within company guidelines and regulations.
• Drive safety culture and conduct weekly safety walks.
• Conduct talent reviews and develop staff; deliver performance feedback.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and plant communication meetings.
• Interface with customers and suppliers; visit as needed.
