Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Charlotte, NC, seeks a seasoned Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality and productivity, and empower teams to perform at peak levels.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA and 8D methodologies, manage KPIs, coordinate with planning, maintenance and suppliers, and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives to meet throughput objectives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma minimum; engineering/ops degree preferred.
• 5+ years in operations, maintenance, engineering or process-improvement with team leadership.
• Lean environment experience.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to drive safety, quality and productivity.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA and 8D for issue resolution.
• Review production, safety and quality reports; develop action plans with the team.
• Implement cost reductions, quality improvements and production enhancements.
• Direct maintenance programs and proactive preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with planning to meet production schedules and cover vacancies.
• Interface with customers and suppliers as needed.
• Ensure cycle times meet throughput objectives and staff are trained.
