Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive safety, quality and productivity, and provide strong leadership to supervision and staff.

You will apply Lean Manufacturing practices, Six Sigma, FMEA and 8D problem solving to optimize production, schedules, and maintenance. The role emphasizes collaboration with planning, customers and suppliers to meet throughput goals and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or process improvement with people leadership.
• Experience in a Lean environment is required.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to improve safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA and 8D problem analysis to drive improvement.
• Prepare and review production, safety and quality reports and implement corrective actions.
• Develop cost reduction, quality assurance and production improvements.
• Direct developmental or experimental activities and assist with problem resolution.
• Engage with staff to gather input for solving production issues and efficiency gains.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure the site meets departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with Planning and Operations to manage schedules and coverage.
• Interface with customers and suppliers as needed and visit sites.
• Implement preventive maintenance and ensure adherence to maintenance programs.
• Ensure throughputs meet cycle time requirements and employees are trained.
• Make decisions on work processes and schedules to achieve goals.
