Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a full-time supervisor to provide leadership and training across safety, quality, production, and maintenance. The role involves coordinating with the Production Supervisor to cover vacancies, monitoring shift performance, and driving continuous improvement on efficiencies and output.

You will promote 5S and lean practices on the shop floor, act as the first contact for mechanical issues, and review tooling inventories to ensure the right tools and parts are

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably a packaging environment.
• Embraces continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and training to accomplish Mauser production goals, objectives to all employees regarding safety, quality, production, and maintenance.
• May conduct and/or participate in safety meetings. Conducts observations to identify safety issues and follows up as necessary with appropriate team members.
• Works with the Production Supervisor to ensure vacancies are covered for any planned /unplanned.
• Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.
• Fill out production paperwork accurately and monitor output goals around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production.
• Works with other team members to control and improve efficiency, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses.
• Promote shop floor organization, plant housekeeping, with employees utilizing lean techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.
• Acts as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues.
• May conduct tooling components inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
