Job summary

Smithfield Foods seeks a Maintenance Leader to guide teams of Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance, ensuring high performance and strong safety practices. You’ll develop and implement maintenance systems, coordinate with Production on scheduling, and maintain thorough records to meet USDA requirements.

Strong leadership and communication are essential. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering and 2+ years in a related role, with proficiency in MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience leading/train­ing staff or managing a process/project.
• Ability to lead problem solving for high‑level process issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Train and coach employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
• Develop maintenance systems and ensure compliance with procedures and records.
• Plan and schedule maintenance with Production; address equipment failures.
• Monitor KPIs and report performance to maintenance management.
