Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance mechanics and electricians across plant, facilities, and utilities. You’ll drive preventive maintenance, scheduling, and issue resolution to keep production lines running smoothly.

You’ll develop KPIs, coordinate with Production, and ensure records comply with USDA regulations. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience leading staff, coaching, or managing a process or project.
• Ability to lead troubleshooting for high-level process issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to work long hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Train staff on work methods and safety procedures; supervise systems and documentation.
• Plan and schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production.
• Develop KPIs and provide regular status reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and maintain records.
