Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams across the plant, driving preventive maintenance, repairs, and reliability initiatives. You’ll oversee equipment across the plant, utilities, and powerhouse, ensuring minimal downtime and peak production performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Production, maintaining maintenance records in line with USDA standards, and developing staff through coaching and training while upholding safety practices and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination.
Experience leading training or mentoring to less experienced staff.
Ability to lead problem solving and troubleshooting for high-level process issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance and repairs.
Plan and schedule maintenance with Production to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Oversee crisis management and continuity tasks when needed.
Develop and coach team members to improve performance and engagement.
