Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. You will oversee predictive and preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with USDA regulations.

You will train staff, develop KPIs, and collaborate with Production to minimize downtime and maximize throughput in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience leading teams or projects and mentoring staff.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
• Plan and schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production; develop TPM, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee KPI development and reporting on equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Provide leadership and coaching to ensure a positive employee experience.
