Job summary

nVent seeks a Maintenance Leader to guide maintenance strategy and team efforts in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on developing maintenance programs, ensuring reliability, and aligning with production goals to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance events, managing budgets, coordinating with safety leadership, and driving preventive and predictive maintenance to extend equipment life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Experience as a Maintenance leader or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and standard methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong focus on equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure efficient performance of equipment and facilities.
• Supervise and lead a team, providing mentorship, training, and support.
• Lead core maintenance metrics (Mean Time To Repair & Mean Time Between Failure).
• Manage the Daily Management System for the maintenance department.
• Partner with the EHS leader to enforce workforce safety (LOTO, Machine Guarding, etc.).
• Align maintenance schedules with production and operations teams to limit output loss and increase throughput.
• Partner with the Plant Manager to transition the plant from reactive to predictive maintenance.
• Support and lead maintenance team KPI's and quality of work.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to support production and operational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
• Implement and lead a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
• Oversee building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security and grounds maintenance.
• Responsible for emergency response and after-hours support in the plant.
• Manage site improvement projects.
