Job summary

nVent is seeking a manufacturing leader to drive productivity, safety, and efficiency across our production teams in the United States. This role emphasizes Lean practices, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration to meet ambitious performance targets.

You will lead production supervisors, manage budgets, and develop strategic staffing plans while promoting a hands-on problem-solving culture that aligns with nVent values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations or distribution.
• 3 years of experience in a leadership position.
• Prior experience in a Lean environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and performance management for production supervisors and the manufacturing team.
• Drive efficiency and collaborate with cross functional departments to meet safety, service levels, cost and productivity targets.
• Develop strategic plans for talent acquisition, employee development and performance management.
• Communicate openly with employees and HR regarding attitudes and concerns.
• Track daily performance and ensure counter measures and recovery plans are used for missed targets.
• Recommend changes to production capability, tooling, machines and staffing to support production plans and cost-effective procedures.
• Participate in and monitor the departmental budget (expense and capital).
• Drive nVent culture and values; be highly visible to associates and encourage participation.
• Promote hands-on problem solving.
