Job summary

Jim 'N Nick's Community Bar-B-Q is seeking a hands-on pit crew member to own the pit and meat operation, run our smokers with skill and consistency, cut and portion to spec, and monitor the quality of every pound that leaves your station.

You'll manage inventory and food waste in the pit and meat area, follow process and procedure to the letter, and hold the line on safety and sanitation, because the whole brand rides on what comes off your smoker.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pitmaster, meat cutter, line cook, expediter, or prep cook.
• Disciplined, consistent, and genuinely proud of the craft.
• Willing to work high-energy, hands-on in a live kitchen.
• Able to stand 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Committed to safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Own the pit and meat operation, run smokers with skill and consistency.
• Cut and portion to spec and monitor quality of every pound.
• Manage inventory and food waste in pit and meat area.
• Follow process and procedure to the letter; hold the line on safety.
• Support advancement from the pit to kitchen manager and beyond.
