Job summary

Jim 'N Nick's Community Bar-B-Q is seeking a pitmaster to own the pit and meat operation, running smokers with skill, cutting and portioning to spec, and monitoring quality. You’ll manage inventory and waste, follow procedures, and uphold safety and sanitation to protect our brand.

The ideal candidate has pitmaster, meat cutter, or line cook experience, is disciplined, consistent, and takes pride in the craft. This hands-on, high-energy role offers growth from pit to kitchen manager and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience as pitmaster, meat cutter, line cook, expediter, or prep cook.
• Disciplined and consistent, proud of the craft.
• Low-and-slow cooking is in your approach and you build a reputation.

Responsibilities

• Own the pit and meat operation: run our smokers with skill and consistency, cut and portion to spec, and monitor the quality of every pound of smoked meat.
• Manage inventory and food waste in the pit and meat area, follow process and procedure to the letter.
• Maintain safety and sanitation, ensuring the brand quality from your station.
