Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled foreman to oversee crew members and ensure safe, timely, and efficient piping installation and maintenance. Candidates should read isometric drawings, determine location/orientation/size of piping, and manage installation activities across steam, heating, cooling, and process systems.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning sequences to avoid obstructions, and ensuring quality through inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in the field.
• Plan own work and delegate tasks to crew members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Independent judgement on daily tasks; report to site foreman/manager.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type and size and related materials per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plans installation sequence.
• Cuts and threads pipe using appropriate tools and machines.
• Assembles and installs pipes and fittings with various joints.
• Mounts hangers and brackets to support pipes and equipment.
• Install and maintain refrigeration/AC systems and controls.
• Test piping systems for leaks and ensure safety compliance.
