Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining or Civil Engineering.
• 5–8+ years in large-scale open-pit mining.
• Proficiency in Deswik, Hexagon, and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee early-stage site preparation, including clearing, grubbing, topsoil management, and haul road sequencing.
• Develop 0–2 year schedules aligned with Life of Mine goals.
• Design diversion systems and drainage for year-round stability and ensure initial ramps meet geotechnical safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and safety standards (MSHA/OSHA).
• Manage specialized earthmoving contractors during early stages of mine development.
• Coordinate between the mine planning office and field operations to address unexpected conditions.
