Job summary

Dow is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support pilot plant operations. You will troubleshoot I&E issues, calibrate instrumentation, and prepare equipment for maintenance while collaborating with maintenance technicians, engineers, and operators to ensure reliable process performance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Journeyman I&E card or equivalent training with 4 years of instrumentation/electrical experience or 4 years in the military trades,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Instrumentation Journeyman card or 4 years of instrumentation/electrical experience or 4 years of military service with skilled trades experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to work overtime, on-call, and holidays in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot instrument and electrical issues on pilot plant equipment and repair/replace as needed.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance; clear motors/switchgear and calibrate instrumentation.
• Specify and procure instrumentation/electrical equipment per application requirements.
• Test BPCS and SIS instrument loops; perform I/O loop checks on new field installations.
• Serve as I&E Lead for small capital/expense projects and maintain schedules/records.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians, Engineers and Operations for planned shutdowns.
• Provide equipment specs to Process Automation Technicians/Engineers for control code
• Assist with training Run Plant Technicians and Engineers on instrumentation.
• Maintain equipment documentation and records.
