Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a skilled Instrumentation & Electrical technician to support pilot plant operations. You will troubleshoot I&E issues, calibrate instruments, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering to prepare for shutdowns.

A strong emphasis on leadership, initiative, and teamwork drives this role. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, an instrumentation journeyman card or equivalent experience, and certifications in Arc/Flash, electrical work, and SIS. U.S.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Instrumentation Journeyman card or 4 years relevant instrumentation/electrical experience or 4 years of military skilled trade.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work overtime on call rotating basis and holidays.
U.S. work eligibility with no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot Instrument and Electrical issues with pilot plant equipment; diagnose and repair or replace.
Prepare equipment for maintenance; clear motors and switchgear; calibrate instrumentation.
Specify and procure Instrument and Electrical equipment per application requirements.
Conduct periodic function and proof testing of SIS instrument loops.
Loop check I/O for new field installations; lead for expenses projects.
Maintain instrument schedules and records for plant equipment.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians, Engineers and others for shutdowns.
Provide equipment specs to support control code development.
Assist with instrumentation and electrical training for Run Plant team.
