Job summary

Dow Inc. in Texas is seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support pilot plant operations, troubleshoot I&E issues, and ensure safe, reliable equipment performance.

You will work with maintenance teams and engineers on planned shutdowns, calibrate instrumentation, and specify equipment needs to support process automation.

This role requires a high school diploma, 4 years of instrumentation/electrical experience (or military skilled trade), and ability to work on-call.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 4 years instrumentation/electrical experience or 4 years military skilled trade.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Must be able to work overtime/on-call rotating schedule.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot instrument and electrical issues on pilot plant equipment.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance; calibrate instrumentation.
• Specify and procure instrument/electrical equipment per requirements.
• Conduct function and proof testing of SIS and BPCS loops.
• Loop check I/O loops for new field installations.
• Lead I&E for small capital projects.
• Maintain instrument schedules and records.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers for planned shutdowns.
• Provide I&E specs to support control code development.
• Assist with training Run Plant Technicians and Engineers.
