Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Specialist to support pilot plant operations in the United States. You will troubleshoot instrument and electrical issues, calibrate instrumentation, coordinate with maintenance teams, and lead I&E activities for small projects.

Applicants should hold an Instrumentation Journeyman credential or equivalent experience, demonstrate safety leadership, and be able to work overtime/on-call. Dow provides growth opportunities and comprehensive rewards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Instrumentation Journeyman card or 4 years of relevant instrumentation/electrical experience, or 4 years of military service with skilled trade work.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work on-call/ overtime as needed.
U.S. work authorized; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot instrument and electrical issues in pilot plant equipment; diagnose and repair.
Prepare equipment for maintenance; calibrate instrumentation and maintain I&E gear.
Specify and procure Instrument and Electrical equipment per application needs (power, flow, temp, pressure).
Conduct periodic function and proof testing of BPCS and SIS instrument loops.
Loop check I/O loops for new field installations.
Lead I&E aspects of small capital/expense projects.
Maintain instrument schedules and related records.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineers for planned shutdowns.
Provide equipment specs to support process automation.
Assist with instrumentation and electrical training for Run Plant Technicians.
