Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a dedicated program leader to plan, organize and deliver value-driven skill development activities for participants. You will lead with enthusiasm, maintain records, manage equipment and keep a safe, engaging environment for all ages.

Responsibilities include clear communication with participants and parents, ensuring timely pickup, and promoting additional YMCA programs.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in specialized skill.
  • Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill.
  • Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of specialized skill.
  • Ability to use technology for program needs.
  • Obtain and maintain new-hire certifications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and lead activities, routines and games for all participants.
  • Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation in the program.
  • Organize and maintain program records (attendance, rosters, etc.).
  • Manage all equipment and maintain a clean, risk-free environment.
  • Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
  • Ensure all children are picked up by a parent.
  • Promote other YMCA programs and refer to appropriate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with YGBW policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
