Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking an energetic program instructor to plan, organize, and lead skill-building activities for participants, while maintaining records and equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with policies. The role requires strong communication with families and a proactive approach to promoting YMCA programs.

You will be responsible for creating engaging sessions, assisting with supervision, and contributing to a positive, inclusive environment for all ages, including

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age and a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of prior teaching or instructional experience.
  • Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and lead activities, routines and games for participants.
  • Maintain program records (attendance, rosters, etc.).
  • Manage equipment and maintain a clean, risk-free environment.
  • Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
  • Promote other YMCA programs and ensure policy compliance.
