Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is hiring role in youth program development to plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development activities for participants.

You will support planning and execution, adapt activities for diverse needs, and promote YMCA programs while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with special needs.
  • Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in program area.
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
  • Adapts and modifies to meet participant needs.
  • Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
  • Manages all equipment to ensure safety.
  • Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
  • Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
  • Promotes other YMCA programs by distributing brochures or referring to appropriate staff.
  • Ensures compliance with all YMCA policies and procedures.
