Job summary

Lowes Foods is hiring for a Pick & Prep guest experience associate responsible for product preparation, sampling, and friendly, interactive guest engagement to drive sales.

You will demonstrate knife showmanship, maintain sanitation, stock and merchandise, perform PA announcements, and uphold company standards while delivering a memorable shopping experience to guests in our Banner Elk location.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Willingness to actively engage guests.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and knife skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling.
• Provide superior guest service and storytelling about products (Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, Local).
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight services and offerings.
• Operate Pick & Prep area per merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per standards.
• Prepare, receive, order, stock, merchandise and assist guests as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
