Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement plans of care across patients of all ages. You will serve as a clinical resource, educate patients and families, and document care per policy. A sign-on bonus is offered, with $1,500 for new grads and $2,500 for candidates with 1+ years of experience, plus relocation assistance for moves over 50 miles.

The role emphasizes collaboration with PTs, ongoing education, and support for acute stroke care requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Licensed PTA in IL or eligible; BLS within 30 days.
• Board eligibility and ability to complete board exam date.
• Continue education per program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and communicates adjustments after evaluation and daily note documentation.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip/Knee replacement program if applicable.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT; provides therapeutic interventions and modalities as listed.
• Completes daily documentation and billing in therapy EMR; coordinates with PT; communicates progress to referring providers.
