Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. The role includes patient education, documentation, and collaboration with the care team, with opportunities for growth in a multi-hospital system.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates, with a focus on high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Must be educated as a PTA with an associate’s degree.
• Licensed PTA (IDFPR) in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Board eligibility/required to complete board exam for next date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and updates it based on patient response and evidence after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Documents daily notes and adheres to clinical documentation policy.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement program if applicable.
• Performs therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.
• Maintains daily documentation and EMR charging; coordinates with PT on patient care.
• Communicates progress and treatment recommendations to referring providers.
