Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care under the supervision of a physical therapist, treating patients of all ages. This role serves as a clinical resource and role model while supporting staff and students.

A sign-on bonus is available, with $1,500 for new grads and $2,500 for candidates with 1+ years of experience; relocation assistance is offered if moving 50+ miles.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Board eligible and able to complete board exam on next available date.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements when applicable.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring providers.
