Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients of all ages under an PT plan of care. The PTA educates patients and families, and collaborates with therapists to adapt treatments.

The role includes aquatic therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and precise daily documentation in the EMR. You’ll coordinate with the PT and referring providers while complying with clinical policies.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
Licensed PTA in Illinois or eligible to obtain license.
BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Board eligible and prepared to complete board exams.
Must complete required continuing education for stroke care.

Responsibilities

Educates patients, families, and staff using effective teaching methods.
Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment after communication with the PT.
Documents daily notes and adheres to clinical documentation policy.
Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program, if applicable.
Applies interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound; uses electrical stimulation; aquatic therapy when indicated.
Maintains daily therapy EMR documentation and coordinates with PT and referring providers.
