Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement the plan of care under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will educate patients and families, document communications, and contribute to a high-quality rehabilitation program in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Requires Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current LPTA license or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
• Board Eligible; must complete board exam at next available date and continue education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows therapist’s plan of care; adjusts treatment based on patient response and evidence with supervisor communication.
• Performs therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
