Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or within 30 days of hire.
• Board eligible and plan to complete board exam as required; ongoing continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documented communication.
• Produces documentation per policy and participates in annual program requirements when applicable.
• Administers treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound and aquatic therapy where appropriate.
• Coordinates with PT on patient progress and communicates recommendations to referring providers.
