Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement plans of care under the guidance of a physical therapist. This role supports patients of all ages and serves as a clinical resource for staff and students.

The PTA Educator will provide therapeutic interventions including exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy. Documentation and collaboration with the PT are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) eligible/licensure in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Board eligibility/board exam completion and CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications and adjustments.
• Completes daily documentation in the EMR and related charting policies.
• Provides treatment interventions: therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
• Coordinates with PT on patient progress and treatment recommendations.
