Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join the Inpatient Rehab Therapy team. This PRN role requires 5 weekend shifts per quarter and at least one weekend shift per month, plus 1 Inova-recognized holiday per year.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges).
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Gives instruction and supervision to assistive personnel per clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, and outside contacts.
