Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA seeks a Physical Therapist (PT) for our Acute Care team on a PRN/as-needed basis. Requires at least 2 weekend shifts per month and one major and one minor holiday; weekday availability is a plus.

The role emphasizes evaluation, treatment planning, and collaboration with care teams. VA licensure or compact privileges and BLS certification are required at start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Physical Therapist license (VA licensure or compact privileges).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Select evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
