Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Inpatient Rehab Therapy team. This PRN position requires 5 weekend shifts per quarter with at least one weekend shift per month and 1 Inova holiday per year.

As a PT, you will have access to advanced technologies and 1:1 mentoring from clinical specialists to support patient-centered care. Inova is recognized for safety, quality and employee excellence in the DC metro area and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• VA licensure or compact privileges required on start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensure: Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges)
