Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital seeks a Physical Therapist (PT) for our Acute Care team in a PRN capacity. The role requires at least two weekend shifts per month, one minor and one major holiday per year, and some weekday availability for training.

Responsibilities

• Selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient.
• Demonstrates competency in treatment modalities and equipment.
• Performs re-evaluations and adjusts treatment plans as needed.
• Adheres to documentation policies for evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and care team members.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Acute Care team. This position is PRN or as needed requiring at least 2 weekend shifts per month, 1 minor and 1 major holiday per year. We require some weekday availability for training/orientation.

Physical Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities:

• The Physical Therapist PRN selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
