Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center seeks a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. You will plan and implement individualized treatment, perform tests, and contribute to safe discharges under an established plan of care.

Applicants should have a PT degree and CA license; new grads are welcome. The role offers per diem/on-call duties with a competitive salary range and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• New graduates welcome; 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current California license to practice Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for strength, ROM, and coordination.
• Provides direct patient care per established plan of care.
• Maintains patient records confidentiality in compliance with policy and law.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.
• Completes forms and documents per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
