Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center in Santa Monica, CA is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support resident care within a collaborative team. The PTA administers treatments and assessments under a defined plan of care, while maintaining patient confidentiality and documentation compliance.

The position offers a salary range of $85,280–$104,000 per year, a sign-on bonus, PTO, and referral bonuses, with on-site work at our Santa Monica facility and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA program is required.
• Current California PTA license is required.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements for muscle strength, ROM, and coordination.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to aid discharge planning with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
