Job summary

Monterey Palms Healthcare Center is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. You will lead treatment plans and perform assessments while maintaining privacy and accurate documentation.

Qualified candidates hold a PT degree and an active California license; one year of clinical experience is preferred, new graduates welcome. Per diem/on-call schedule with a sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California PT license required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer PT treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administer and interpret tests for strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provide direct resident treatment per an established care plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Conduct home assessments to support safe discharge.
• Complete forms and documentation per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
