Job summary

Monterey Palms Healthcare Center in Monterey, CA, is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT). The role offers a sign-on bonus and a competitive benefits package. The PT evaluates and treats residents with neuromuscular/musculoskeletal issues, performs tests, and develops care plans within federal guidelines.

California-licensed PTs with a degree in Physical Therapy are preferred; new graduates are welcome. This full/part-time position provides medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and relocation

Qualifications

• Must have California Physical Therapy license.
• Degree in Physical Therapy (BS/MS/DPT) or equivalent required.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients.
• Assesses muscle strength, range of motion and related functions.
• Provides direct resident treatment per care plan.
• Maintains patient records confidentiality and documentation.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care..
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
