Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement requirements.
• Provides therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation treatment.
• Provides aquatic therapy where appropriate.
• Completes daily documentation and charges in therapy EMR.
• Coordinates with PT and communicates progress to referring provider.
