Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting care plans as needed. The role includes educating patients and families, documenting progress, and coordinating with PTs to implement treatment plans, including aquatic therapy and electrotherapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam at next available date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documentation.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements where applicable.
• Follows treatment plan established by PT and coordinates with PT on interventions.
• Provides therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.
