Job summary
Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in Illinois. You will educate patients and families, follow the plan of care, and document outcomes according to policy.
Eligible for a sign-on bonus with structured relocation support for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include providing therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, water therapy when applicable, and daily EMR
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Licensed PTA (IDFPR) to practice in Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
- Follows the plan of care and documents changes after communication with theEvaluating therapist.
- Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
- Completes required education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement if applicable.
- Performs treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait, balance, ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
- Coordinates with PT on patient treatment and progress.
