Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in accordance with the plan of care. A sign-on bonus is offered: $1,500 for new grads, $2,500 for candidates with 1+ years of experience, plus relocation assistance if moving 50+ miles.

The role requires an Associate's Degree as a PTA and licensure in Illinois, with BLS clearance within 30 days and continuing education for stroke care mandates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on the next available exam date and complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follows therapy plan and adjusts treatment in consultation with the evaluating therapist.
• Documents in the therapy EMR per policy.
• Completes annual education as assigned to comply with program requirements.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring providers.
