Job summary

Qualifications

Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on the next available date.
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois (IDFPR).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (AHA).
Attends and completes required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and health care staff using effective teaching methods.
Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment after communication with the evaluating therapist.
Produces documentation per the Clinical Documentation Policy and daily notes.
Completes annual education as assigned for DNV Hip and Knee programs where applicable.
