Job summary

Ascension Via Christi, St. Francis is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver inpatient physical therapy on the Day Shift with PRN coverage, under a professional plan of care to help patients regain independence and mobility.

You will document patient care journeys with precision, collaborate with support personnel and students, and participate in a clinical team focused on safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

• Collaborate with and coordinate the activities of support personnel and students to foster a cohesive, efficient, and educational team environment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
