Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join the inpatient team at Via Christi St Peter Hospital in Derby, KS. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and apply evidence-based therapies to improve mobility and overall quality of life.

You’ll lead and mentor support personnel, collaborating with the rehab team to maintain high standards of care and provide education as part of a comprehensive care approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• BLS within 1 month and KS PT license prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized treatment plans to help patients reach recovery goals.
• Evaluate patient conditions through comprehensive assessments for tailored interventions.
• Perform evidence-based therapy to improve mobility and quality of life.

• Perform evidence-based therapy interventions to improve patient mobility and enhance their overall quality of life.
• Lead and mentor support personnel, including assistants and students, to maintain a high standard of collaborative care across the rehab team

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) license credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
