Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time position in the Rehabilitation department. The role offers a flexible 36-hour schedule with 8- or 10-hour shifts, onsite at Mercy Hospital.

The PT will design recovery plans, perform assessments, provide hands-on therapy, educate families, and mentor PTAs and students to foster excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days.
• PT license/registration with Wisconsin Board required.

Responsibilities

• Design Custom Recovery Paths by assessing patients and shaping plans of care.
• Deliver Hands-On therapy interventions tailored to each patient.
• Empower families through education and involvement in care planning.
• Lead with mentorship for PTAs, students, and staff within Rehabilitation.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Design Custom Recovery Paths: You’ll perform initial and ongoing assessments, transforming clinical data into a dynamic, evolving plan of care that meets the patient where they are.
• Deliver Hands-On Excellence: Use your technical skills to provide direct therapy interventions, adapting your approach to the unique physiological and emotional needs of each patient.
• Empower Families: Recovery is a team effort. You’ll partner closely with patients and their families, ensuring they are educated, involved, and confident in the journey toward home.
• Lead with Mentorship: Serve as a clinical guide for PTAs, students, and support personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and shared learning across the department.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
